Showing our Pride During Pride Month

What’s in a logo? A logo can mean so much—it’s an immediate way to identify a group and is the foundation of a brand identity. Logos are designed to be memorable, to foster brand loyalty and make organizations stand apart. That is exactly what we intended by creating a Progress Pride version of our logo in celebration of Pride Month.

Hephzibah has a long history of aligning with and supporting the LGBTQ+ community, and this year we wanted to be as visible as possible in our support. For our DEI committee, it was especially important to clearly show our support of the LGBTQ+ community, and creating a Progress Pride logo was an obvious choice. It also confirms our commitment to becoming a certified agency with the All Children – All Families Program which provides resource development, training and technical assistance dedicated to LGBTQ+ inclusion.

The logo has been placed on the entryway to all of our offices and at Hephzibah Home so that everyone who enters year-round knows that Hephzibah is an inclusive, safe, and welcoming space for people of every gender identity or sexual orientation. To further show our support we have replaced the logo on our social media accounts, used it in our email newsletters and social posts and have made stickers to give to Hephzibah families. We want as much visibility as possible so it is clear that we support and advocate for equality of LGBTQ+ children and families and that we will also always meet the needs of the LGBTQ+ youth that we serve.
