CME Group Amicus Volunteers

logo-cme-group-foundationOn February 20th a group of CME employees and students of the group home laced up their roller skates and spent a fun afternoon at Fleetwood Roller Rink. Since 2008, the CME Group Amicus Volunteer program has been providing bi-monthly outings for the students living in the group home. Activities have included Wendella boat rides in the summer, trips to the Lincoln Park Zoo in August, Haunted Trails around Halloween, and Go Bananas in April including many more!

Debbie Pontrelli, the Assistant Director of Group Homes, stated “Partnering with AMICUS and their wonderful volunteers provides community opportunities for the children at Hephzibah that result in smiles in the moment and memories that last a lifetime.” In addition, The CME Group Community Foundation has funded Hephzibah’s  volunteer program. With this support, we have over 200 individual volunteers ranging from middle school students to retirees. These volunteers play an essential role in allowing us to meet our mission.
