Heart of Gold Ball

Heart of Gold Ball

The 2025 Heart of Gold Ball will be held on Friday, March 7, at Rockwell on the River in Chicago. The theme is ‘A Child at Heart’ and reflects our hope that each child we encounter is given the chance to connect with their inner child, and that with Hephzibah’s guidance, will have every opportunity possible to experience a happy childhood. 2025 Award Recipients

Every year at the Heart of Gold Ball, awards are given to honor those who have made a lasting impact on the lives of Hephzibah children and families.

2025 Heart of Gold Award

Northwestern Medicine

In addition to its international acclaim as a top provider of health and medical care, Northwestern Medicine is also celebrated as a leading community health advocate, delivering services throughout the state to improve the health status of individuals and their communities. For many years, Northwestern Medicine has been one of Hephzibah’s most generous partners providing both essential financial support for traumatized children living in Hephzibah Home and valuable volunteer support. Throughout the year, teams of employees help with projects ranging from decorating the home for the holidays to sorting gifts for children in foster care to serving Sunday Suppers at Hephzibah Home.

Kids Resale Event Managers

Since 2017, a dedicated, hardworking team of women has volunteered tens of thousands of hours sorting, tagging, and selling mountains of gently used clothes, toys, books, and games, for one of the community’s most highly anticipated events – the semi-annual Hephzibah Kids Resale Event. Under the leadership of the Resale Event Managers, to date, the events have raised nearly $250,000 to support Hephzibah programs. And Hephzibah isn’t the only winner. Families can purchase quality, affordable clothing, toys, and accessories for their children, along with the added benefit of helping our environment by diverting thousands of pounds of clothing from landfills.

2025 Community Partner Award

Oak Park School District 97

In 1974, Hephzibah established the Day Care Program to meet the community’s growing need for enriching, nurturing, and affordable childcare. In the past 50 years, the program has grown exponentially and consistently adapted to meet the changing needs of the community – and we did it all with the support and partnership of Oak Park School District 97. Today, more than 800 elementary school-aged children participate in Hephzibah’s After School Program held onsite in each of the eight Oak Park elementary schools throughout the academic year, and the full-day Summer Day Care Program held at Lincoln School.
